How to Join

Looking for New Members 

The Volunteer Ski Patrol is always looking for advanced to expert alpine and telemark skiers, and riders who want to be a part of an organization dedicated to helping fellow skiers while enjoying America's favorite winter sport. The Patrol provides training in NSP Outdoor Emergency Care first aid and alpine toboggan training. Loveland's 160 volunteer patrollers are men and women aged 18 to 70+, married and single, all with an appreciation for each other and a love of skiing. The Patrol also sponsors a Young Adult Patroller program for youth age 15-18.

Qualifications

  • Advanced to expert alpine or telemark skiing or riding ability (able to run a toboggan on all of Loveland's slopes)
  • Commit a designated number of weekend days to the Patrol
  • Successfully complete first aid and ski/toboggan training and testing
  • Purchase uniform vest
  • Provide your own black jacket and black ski pants
  • Purchase First Aid Supplies
  • Pay annual dues

Feel free to stop by the Loveland Basin First Aid Room on weekends during the ski season to discuss becoming a member of the Loveland Volunteer Ski Patrol. Skiing tryouts are held several times during the year.
